Apartment Review for Homestead Apartments - Fullerton, CA

Our roof has been leaking since October (we moved in in September) - every time it rains, we call in. Once they finally stopped blowing us off (ahem, when we mentioned what a health hazard mold was), they "fixed" it about 4 times, each time assuring us that it's all good...until the next heavy rain when when our furniture, carpet, and TV get soaked again.

When I asked a manager (was referred to another community manager since ours was out for a week), whether the roofing guys would come in the answer was "I don't know, I mean they're scheduled to come in, but you know, some people don't work Saturdays like we do, so they may come in." I'm like, huh? If they're scheduled, they should be on the premisese, right? "Well, I mean, yeah, they should be here, but they might not be"... UM. YEAH that's really reassurign when your stuff is all wet, and your eye is itchy from mold allergies!

Previous manager at the Plaza was really bad, current manager is not so bad, but generally speaking, I don't think management or maintenance has any support from the upper management - whenever anyone has a complaint, you're told to contact the "Corporate" office - I don't think "Corporate" cares really what goes on, or whether tenant complaints are valid or not.

And i'm not even going to go into the condition of the place - it was not cleaned thoroughly when we moved in, the air conditining sucks, "cable" channels 2-7 are fuzzy (no resolution to this, either), 2 out of the four grills on our stovetop dont' work properly, parking, forget about it...probably the only good thing about this place is I like the layout of the apartment...that's about it. Actually, if the maintenance thing weren't such a big deal, it would actually be enjoyable to live here...too bad.
