Apartment Review for Homestead Apartments - Fullerton, CA

I took the tour (nice.... everything LOOKS great) so, we got sucked in.... completed the app gave them a $200.00 holding deposit plus $35 for the credit check left.... called back two days later and they were still working on the approval process. Another two days.. nothing! Finally after a week of waiting I called and they STILL said they have not received the final approval yet from corporate, however it should be in soon as everything looks great. So, out of curiosity I checked out this site to see what their rating was because thus far was not too happy with how I was treated. After reading a few comments I decided this was not the place for me. I don't care to live around a bunch of young college students. The gates are ALWAYS open when I come to the property. So I stopped by and asked when I would hear back from them and still no answer, so I told them to cancel the app and give me my holding deposit back..... SURPRISE! We are sorry, your 72 hours has past its been forfeited.... WRONG! I pulled out my holding deposit contract and on it states "Once APPROVED you have 72 hours"...... So, after that they said, well our policy states we have 21 days to refund your money.

So, a week later I called to get a status and was told it still has not been processed, however we have 21 days to process it. So now 21 days and past and now again they are saying, "Since you cancelled after the 72 hour period you forfeited".... now I am FURIOUS! So I asked to speak to the manager of the corporate office and of course Kelly (the office manager) does not take calls....

I am NOT giving up! They took my money, did JACK and expect me to just accept what they say. WRONG
