Apartment Review for Homestead Apartments - Fullerton, CA

I have only lived here for 6 mos and cannot wait to get out. Started off by them not being able to show us the apartment until we signed all the documents(which is probably a strategy knowing the condition of the apartment) The apartment has the original stove(which barely works) and cabinets that are all off the track. Dish washer doesnt work and the AC in the living room makes your room a sweat shop. We have gone through 3 managers since moving in and maintenance drives around on the golf carts smoking and ignoring any repair request. The final straw was just last week when our aprtment had a leak in both bedrooms(we live on the bottom floor, go figure) I came home and both rooms are flooded and beds are ruined. When contacting the manager she showed no empathy and advised us to contact our insurance. They are not responsible for anything. Going on the 5th day now sleeping on couch while rooms still have holes and commercial fans are eating up our electricity. I asked the manager for a break in rent for these days and/or compensation for the elcrticity to run the 2 commerial fans which she denied our quest. So basically, we are out about 3k in furniture, had to sleep in living room for 5 days and had a spike in our electrivcity bill. They dont about their customers. I would bet their lease renewal is very low. Not to mention we are paying 1750 for a 2 bedroom.
