Apartment Review for The Pointe - Fullerton, CA

This is the WORST place I have ever lived at, hands down. When I moved in, I realized that it was old-looking, but it was certainly functional. However, as time progressed, the "maintenance", which is really nothing more than friends of the manager- a pair of white trashy older men who swear loudly while working- began tearing the place apart. Its been a good six months and all I have ever seen them do is put more stucco patches on the walls. I think they are attempting to paint the outside, but no place I have ever lived at takes six months to paint! In addition to the "renovations" done to the outside of the building, the lighting fixtures on the inside of the units were "renovated" as well- meaning that the price of electricity must be too high, so they went in and replaced our light fixtures with florescent, cheap bulbs and fixtures that probably cost about 2 bucks a piece at Home Depot, and which only further accentuated the dingy, old worn out carpet, the yellowing paint that is about 10 layers thick (and painted over the metal door jambs... and peeling off in most places). There is no central air or heating. In the winter, you had better get lots of blankets. They were constantly shutting off our water, for 10 hours at a time, to do repairs. They would just leave a note on our door one day in advance. I was once physically threatened by a "maintenance" employee when I tried to walk through an area he had blocked to stucco the wall. He was very hostile and when I protested, he got in my face and called me vulgar names. When I tried to tell the manager, she was unsympathetic and said she needed to hear "both sides of the story". She then gave me an attitude like we were in junior high. After all of this, they had the nerve to raise the rent! I have left and will never look back. Though this is probably the cheapest apartment complex near CSU Fullerton, it is still way overpriced. DO NOT LIVE HERE, it is ghetto, you will hate it!!! There were also strange little bugs all over the place that I would find in the cupboard or behind pictures.
