The apartment itself is of poor quality - shoddy fixtures, water leaks down the interior of the walls when it rains, causing the molding on the bottom to get moldy and the carpet to get wet, carpet tacks stick through in various places, bathroom fixtures are permanently dingy and moldy - yuck!  Need to rent an apartment?
