Apartment Review for Wilshire Promenade - Fullerton, CA

No apartment complex is perfect. Wilshire Promenade is no exception. I do have fond memories of this place but I'll keep it real & tell you what to expect at this place. First, the location is awesome! Within walking distance to Downtown Fullerton bars, restaurants, shopping etc. All my friends were impressed with the apartment & they were sad to hear that I was moving out. Second, the layout of the apartment was great. We had a 2 bedroom townhouse style. Living room was spacious & we loved the downstairs bathroom for guests & the fireplace. Third, parking was cool. Underground structure felt safe & we had 2 designated spots & never had to search for parking. I always felt safe here as a young female living on her own which says a lot these days...We never had a problem with maintenance. They always fixed everything in a timely manner. Security guard was pretty cool too. We threw a few rowdy parties & security just told us to quiet down. No threats of eviction or attitude. Not so great things about this place were that tenants have to pay for every utility. Some of our electrical outlets didn't work. Can get noisy but get over it cause every apartment complex gets noisy & it's near all the bars so it's bound to get loud especially on the weekends. Towards the end of our stay the fire alarm would randomly go off during all hours of the night. Not cool. My biggest gripe with this complex is the security deposit. Our apartment was clean all the time! My roommate was a clean freak so that speaks for itself. When we moved out, we made sure to leave it sparkling & shiny so we could get our $$ back. But NO!!! We got a pathetic $95 check from our $500 deposit!!! Seriously?! We scrubbed EVERYTHING. Steam cleaned the carpets too. But no it wasn't good enough. They even charged $30 to clean the fridge! So that pissed me off but our stay was worth it. We had a great time with no major problems...
